Erwin and Joyce
Being asked to photograph a wedding day is always a great privilege. When Erwin and Joyce asked if I’d like to fly over to Holland and photograph their day I was completely blown away! The last time I saw Joyce was in New Zealand, way back in 2010! I flew out a few days before the day and stayed in their hometown of Gouda (Home of the famous cheese!) It was an awesome few days getting to hang out with the family and getting to know them a bit more before the day. I reckon Erwin and Joyce are the most chilled out couple I have ever met! The day was held at “Rufus aan het water” in the Northern part of Holland, an area called Friesland. Family and friends travelled from all over, Germany, Italy, Spain, even as far as Israel. There was no white dress, no flowers, no wedding rings, not even a big fancy wedding cake. All they cared about was having their closest friends and family around them to celebrate their day together which I thought was amazing. The day was so unique and an absolute privilege to be part of. Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome.
