Catriona & Stuart | Banchory Lodge

To have an outside or an inside wedding ceremony was the question Catriona and Stuart were faced with the morning of their wedding day at the idillic Banchory Lodge Hotel. Luckily, and I still don’t know how but it managed to stay fair.. just! Together with family and friends, they tied the knot outside with the river Dee as the backdrop – as close to perfect as you get really. Catriona’s auntie designed and made her dress which I thought was a lovely personal touch and made for some great storytelling images in the morning. Both of them made a real effort to thank close family with gifts in the morning and the reaction Stuarts brother Craig had when he opened his was a perfect moment for the two of them. The day was just a real pleasure to be part of and with an absolutely packed dance floor including both grans strutting their stuff, you really felt the joy both families had for them. Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome , including the very helpful staff at the lodge. All the very best you two.
