Donna and Scott | Forbes of Kingennie
The photos are just amazing! We absolutely love them! We watched the video first, which had me crying, happy tears of course! Then we watched the slide show of the other photos. It was just like reliving the day, you have managed to tell the story and capture the emotions perfectly!
It was a real pleasure to be part of Donna and Scott’s intimate wedding day at Forbes of Kingennie. Friends and a few close friends were present during the ceremony with around 100 evening guests filling the dancefloor thanks to the brilliant Lomond Ceilidh band.
A unique and personal Ceremony
Humanist celebrant, Gary Smith came up with the most unique and personal of ceremonies with a surprise naming ceremony for the happy couples firstborn. You will just have to scroll down and see the reaction. It certainly set the tone for the rest of the day and had the majority of the guests shed a wee tear or two! It’s so refreshing seeing unique and fresh ideas. Ceremonies can be anything you want them to be.
Flights grounded – Facetime to the rescue!
I wasn’t going to mention this due to the sensitivity of other couples being in the unfortunate position of having to reschedule. Then It wouldn’t be right that I didn’t mention this…Donna and Scott were married 1 week before the lockdown was announced here in the UK. While being extremely fortunate, they were still affected as by that time, most flights were grounded. This meant some really close friends couldn’t physically be there. Facetime to the rescue!! It was lovely to see Donna’s close friend, Elaine join them during the ceremony via Facetime.
All in all, it was a fantastic day had by all and I wish you all the very best Donna and Scott, please stay in touch. take care, Barry X
