Nicola and Calum | Pre – Wedding St Andrews
As with almost every couple I photograph – Nicola and Calum weren’t particularly looking forward to the idea of getting their photograph taken. We met early Saturday morning at a local coffee shop in St Andrews. It must have been close to a year since we last saw each other, with their big day only 5 weeks away, we had plenty to chat about.
Logistics are huge when planning out your wedding day and find that discussing this in as much detail really helps, allowing you to truly let your hair down on your day. Let me, the wedding planner and everyone else involved “sweat the small stuff! ”
As I was saying, Nicola and Calum weren’t particularly looking forward to this… but wanted to be relaxed when having their photograph taken on their wedding day. It must have taken about 3 or 4 clicks of my camera before I could see the relief in their faces – I wasn’t over posing them or giving them stupid awkward things to think or to say each other. As with every couple, my main focus is to look for what is unique about you. This could be the way you laugh together, hold each other or walk side by side along the road together. Believe me EVERY couple is different which is one of the one things I love about wedding photography.
Thanks for a super morning Nicola and Calum – enjoy your Hen and Stag weekends, and see you in little over a months time!
