Ruth and Teal | Ardbrecknish House, Loch Awe

What can I say about Ruth and Teal’s ” Scotland Edition ” wedding day. I say Scotland edition as they both flew all the way from Los Angeles, California where they both  live and work. The “U.S ” edition taking place later this year in Teal’s home state of Oregon. Ruth is originally from the scenic west coast town of Ullapool.

I say this a lot but it really was great to see both families come together from different corners of the world to celebrate Ruth and Teal’s love for one another. And what a setting! In the grounds of Arbrecknish House, looking over Loch Awe – it couldn’t have been anymore perfect. The day was far from traditional – Ruth – a busy costume designer,  made all of her shoes and dresses. She even designed and made Teal’s suit too! There was no wedding cake or traditional speeches , just lots of good Scottish whisky and dancing!

The only tradition was the clinking glasses!! I was wondering what was going on when everyone at the dinner table started clinking there glasses! This is an American tradition where the newly married couple have to kiss. Legend has it that back in the day wine was bitter and so by clinking the glass and the couple kissing – it made the wine sweeter! I like this legend story that was told to me by Ruth and Teal’s friends at the dinner table!

Thank you so much to everyone for making me feel so welcome on the day – I had an absolute blast with you all. All the best to you both Greyhavens!! Please say hello from time to time.

Jenni and Bruce | Forgans , Broughty Ferry
Jenni and Bruce's mid summer wedding day had it all.  A memorable day at  Baxter Park Pavillion in Dundee followed by an absolute gem of a wedding reception at Forgans in Broughty Ferry. The day seemed to flow so well, with loads of little moments throughout. Little moments can be anything from a look to a wee smile and I am a  huge believer that these moments tell the honest story of your day. Have a scroll down and see how many "little moments " you can see.   Thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome. A great celebration with great people. Rachel and Glen | Glen Clova
You get to meet some real characters when photographing wedding days. Rachel and Glen's day up at Glen Clova recently was up there with the best of them. Friends and family travelled from all over especially New Hampshire, where Rachel grew up.Rachel and Glen met while out hiking. They are possibly the most adventurous pair I have met yet! Their favourite spot in the glen is Loch Wirral which sits just above the Hotel so it was the obvious choice for them to go and get some photos together after the ceremony. Oh the ceremony! Rachels mum, Donna held the most beautiful and personal of ceremonies, tears and crying laughter pictures below!! ...

Laura and Ant | Kinnettles Castle
I was so looking forward to Laura and Ant's wedding day at Kinnettles Castle. It's about a 5 minute drive home for me! Kinnettles has to be one of the most luxurious wedding venues in Scotland with picturesque views on the balcony where weather permitting, you can hold your ceremony. Thankfully, the weather gods were on our side!It was clear from the moment I arrived Laura and Ant had thought of everything. Jen and Cathrine from Stucio and Waow were busy putting the finishing touches to the huge archway of flowers for the ceremony (I believe the real name for it is a moon gate!). They even had thought of fruit platters for nibbles in the ...
